Vain Religious Practice
God has been speaking to us about avoiding vain religious practice. It is easy to be religious in any church where you meet together often, and just do the familiar thing without any desire or passion about your love for God, or for one another. It is easy to become “flabby” in our faith “muscles”, and to attend the meetings without any preparation. The result is an expectation that someone else will prepare something, and so we become lazy and critical with what the one who does make something happen, has prepared. We are eager to be a lively body each time we meet together, and to be listening to the Holy Spirit.
This gives God the opportunity to meet the needs of those who are present and those for whom He wants us to interceed.
